The last hurrah for Vicky V
“Fill it up again! It’s so good! Once it hits your lips it’s so good!” A quote from good old Frank the Tank that resonates with me, why in life are the things that are just so good usually so bad? With two broken legs in the last 2.5 years and research to prove the claim that energy drinks are linked to osteoporosis ive made the executive decision to give up the leg breakers, im going cold turkey… no more energy drinks, its haere ra to vicky v.

Do you love words? Or know someone that does?
At Blacksheepdesign, we recognise the skill of writing copy and liaising with media is more than being able to construct sentences, but about character and attitude as well. View our advertisement below.

Music influenced art

There are so many differing factors that come together inside your head when your in the zone creating that something for yourself or your client… its the creative experience that I thrive on daily. Part of that experience is having fun and similar minded people working around me (you know who you are) and another is having an ever evolving sound permeating within the walls you’re working in.

I heart Molton Brown!

I just LOVE Molton Brown. Funnily enough the Molton Brown story started in 1973, the exact year I was born, so perhaps that’s why I love it so much. Molton Brown is skincare, hair care and other beauty products for men and women, which isn’t tested on animals.
All the world is a laboratory to the inquiring mind.

I’m all about quotes, and the title of my blog is no exception. We as human beings never stop learning. I am very lucky in my job at blacksheepdesign to be constantly discovering new and interesting things. Whether it be research into the early history of accounting for a branding, or researching the process of aseptic bottling. We as designers have to delve into areas we would never normally consider, to gather the information we need in order to design accordingly – this has got to be one of the best aspects of my job.
Mmmelbourne Again!

Yep - it must be in the water over there in Melbourne cause its seems like the whole city is going under brand review or renew.
The Melbourne train and tram service contracts have been renewed… and with that, some new brandings too.
Because you’re worth it…

Perusing through the interweb I always come across something innovative… something cool… and something I want to have! I even have a whole bookmark folder dedicated to the day I make it big and blow out my credit card in importing lots of little gadgets, nic-nacs and other things that will increase my perceived cool factor tenfold!
These headphones are one of these items.

Roboblocks!

My eyes are selectively peeled for presents for little boys with my best friends new little man on the way. The little fulla already has his first designer collectable toy, miffy story book and im working on his own little home made story book… he really is the perfect fix to feed my addiction of buying presents for others.
I stumbled across these… not only awesome they are so functional! Roboblocks!

Well its been a long while since I’ve had good ol chin wag on the blog, but what better time than now aye? We’ve been super busy on the farm getting lots of little and big name projects out into the market and some of you would have noticed… like Palmerston North’s new Student City brand.
